It’s finally happened.
There was a couple times it crossed my mind over the past week.
Today is the last day of January 2014. In just hours from now, February will be here.
And January of 2014 will be gone. Poof. History.
I’ve learned some things about client interaction as a result of my copywriting efforts this month. I discovered some new fiction markets, too. I’m moving forward. One day at a time, one thing at a time.
How about you? How are your goals for 2014 humming along? Good? Not so good? Are you staying motivated?
That’s fine. You can readjust, whether that means scheduling more, altering your course a little, or getting back on track entirely.
There’s also a phrase that I once heard that goes “the task at hand expands to fill the time.” Which is a good argument about scheduling MORE to do, instead of less. Have you experimented with that–scheduling more than you think you could get done, doing your best, and measuring your output? I’m giving serious thought to working that into my life.
I thought some of these posts might help you, no matter how your goals are going:
One of the highlights of February is the Super Bowl, this Sunday, February 2nd. The Broncos are playing the Seahawks this year. Which I plan to talk about next week, after everything is said and done.
Based on some hilarious previews I saw Wednesday, I’m toying with the idea of posting about my favorite Super Bowl commercials, too. You all remember how much I like commercials, right?
But we’ll see. Are any of you planning on watching the game? Or will you be working on your writing and marketing (maybe in the morning, at least)? Drop me a line in the comments, and let me know.
That’s it for today, and for January 2014. Let’s start things out great for next month. Every day is a fresh start (something I’ve found helpful to remember over the past months).
Wherever you are, no matter what the weather’s like outside your window, make it an awesome weekend.
Until next month,
