Characters, Their Mud, And Triple F

How’s your week been?

I posted this week about warm weather, mud, and letting go.

So I figured that would be a strange but good jumping-off point for Triple F.

Your Fabulous Fiction Friday prompt for this week is:

Your character loves mud. But it’s something they need to let go of, in their life. Make it happen.

All right, how’s-about we prime the fiction idea pump?

Character, setting, plot…

Character who loves mud. Okay, then. Male, female? Robot? Lizard? Female robot with lizard organs? Or is this character something else entirely? And how does that impact the story overall?

Where are we? A planet with no mud? Too much? And why? Why is mud so important to the setting (or is it)?

Character loves mud. Needs to let go. Why? Is it harming them? Does it have an effect on them? What is the mud made out of? After all, I didn’t say the mud had to be dirt and water. Maybe the character uses the word “mud” to describe some process they’ve invented, or what-have-ya.

For another angle, is the mud itself totally fine, and what’s really the problem is the character annoying everyone by talking about mud all the time?

Okay, stop the pump. I hope I’ve given you enough to write all about characters and their mud.

And if I would have been thinking, I could have posted about triskaidekaphobia (fear of the number 13). But I didn’t. As far as why that’s the case, that’d be for you to discover, especially in connection with Friday…

March will be halfway over, in a bit, here. Hope you’re making it great so far.

And be sure to make it an awesome weekend, with good memories.

Until next week,

Ty
