Did some cleaning yesterday. And then decided to get things moved around by the computer. Instead of having the desk across the corner of the room, I put it against one of the walls.
I can’t reach my pens well, or my books or papers I need to look at while I’m editing.
For some reason things are so different, I’m having difficulty THINKING sometimes, even though it’s the same chair, same lamp, same computer—the only thing that’s changed is the position of the furniture. And it feels like I’m sitting backward, even though I’m actually facing one wall, as opposed to the corner between two walls.
So, that naturally led into Triple F.
Your Fab Fiction Friday prompt is…
Your character is in a room, and something has been moved. What is it, how does the character know what’s been moved, and what happens next?
The character of the, uh, character will be up to you. Which will impact how the character perceives everything.
Did someone move the character’s favorite chair, and now, every time she sits in it, she’ll go to the 39th dimension, instead of the 43rd? How does that impact the character’s life? Is it a past she doesn’t want to return to? Is the place full of strangers?
Or maybe a pair of shoes got moved on the day of a big meeting or interview (yes, occasionally I come up with “normal” fiction ideas)…
Or someone moved a makeshift prison object, that they didn’t know was that way, and now a bad monster is going to get out, or what-have-ya.
All right then.
This is the end of the last full week in March. Next Wednesday, it’ll be April, and March 2015 will be in the annals of history.
Make it a great weekend, with good memories, all right?
Until next week,
