Already It’s Proven Itself Worthy…

How’s it going?

Real quick today…

A couple posts ago, I mentioned about being able to accomplish more now that we have faster internet at the house.

And lo and behold, today I got some feedback on some last-minute changes an author put into a manuscript, and could I please take a look at things, just to be sure things looked okay?

All right, after a few changes (after I got over my surprise at something pinging through the door at this stage), I got down to work.

Two hours later, I was ready to send things off.

And then the magic happened.

I went to attach the two files that I’d fixed up, and in less than one minute it was done. It would have take me over a half hour to do this operation over dial-up internet. So I was happy as a clam in a foot of mud that things happened so fast.

(Yes, there are times I can be complex, and other times when I’m amused and delighted by simple things). Today is one of those times.

To others, this may be humdrum. But to me, this is huge. And I got more training on how to use MS Word 2013 into the bargain–I needed to figure out how to certain things, and I was getting lost, and fast (then along galloped Google, and problems solved).

Very cool.

This also means that I won’t have to worry about things taking so long, allowing me to concentrate on other things (like actually editing, prospecting for copywriting work, writing fiction, and what-have-ya).

That book that I ordered came today, so that’s cool. I’ll be digging into that soon. Hoping that will help me write better fiction, and you can bet I’ll be asking questions about it to some writerly friends.

My point today is: What processes in your life and writing can you streamline? Sketch out a plan, and do your best to make it happen.

Until next time,

About Ty Mall

Thanks for stopping by. I've almost always been interested in writing, among other things. Along with discovering pop culture, I've uncovered a lot about the craft over the past 10 years. And whether you're a fiction writer or email copywriter, I'm here to pass on what I've found out. And have a ton of fun in the process.
