How’s it going? Let’s get to it–the Triple F/Fabulous Fiction Friday writing prompt for this week…which is also number 20, which means I’ll have to think up something else if I intend to move on…
Here we go:
Across clue: “____ we all?” (5 letters)
Down clue: “Piano Man” pianist (4 letters)
What happens now?
I’m going with “aren’t” and “Joel” here.
I won’t rehash my rehash of what fan fiction is, and whatnot. If you want to use Billy Joel as a character, you could, I guess–but maybe using a pianist, or a musician generally, would be better.
We’ve got an idea for a character if you’re using somebody named Joel (even if it’s someone you know–but it’s a subject for another post about how, why, and how NOT to do that), or a musician (male or female).
Okay, so a musician and the word “aren’t.”
(Don’t you love building out thin-to-non-existent plots?)
No setting or anything.
What if we have a musician who wants to play. but it’s too little money–something that’s never happened on a gig in years? Is it a popularity problem? A thieving agent? Why is he/she surprised–or was he/she waiting with an escape plan? What if they have to get a second job–how would they do it? What would it be and why? Do they succeed at it? Are they the kind to give something several shots before going on?
Or we could chronicle the tribulations of a band named “Aren’t.” Sure, we could do that–backstory, problems, profiles, what-have-ya, that’d be all right.
Not to mention a little weird…
Okay, that’s about it for now.
December’s about 1/3 over. And with it, the rest of 2015.
Make it an awesome weekend, with good memories, all right?
Until next time (and week),
