How’s it going? This was my first-time, limited edition run of starting with my own projects at the start of every workday. You can check that out over this way.
It’s worked out well for me so far–it’s more a shift of the mind, as far as that goes.
Okay, today’s Friday, and that means the weekly prompt (if this is your first time stopping by, you’re free to get updates or look around, and come by again, soon).
Anyway, let’s get to it. This is my first original prompt, without a boost from the Sunday paper (although I do admit coming up with awesome prompts was a tad easier with randomly chosen words), in awhile.
Here we go:
Come up with a set of seemingly random circumstances that aren’t random–only because the color blue must be involved.
Yeah…I guess the newspaper was a bit less random, truth be told.
Okay: no character, setting, and not much of a plot.
Let’s start with a blue dog.
Why is the dog blue? Did he roll in blueberries, or juice? Or was he born that way? What if he runs into the street and chases a blue car? Just coincidence? What if it’s the mailman? (That’s my first attempt to iron this out–no idea how I did).
Why is the sky blue? Water reflection (or so I thought). What if one day, all the water were to dry up, and the sky is still blue? What if some blue aliens are behind a glass spaceship, reflecting their blue-colored skin on to the earth?
That’s about it for me. I’ll try to be less random with my randomness next time. If you’d like to mix things up with gender of the characters, different plots, problems, or what-have-ya, feel free.
And have fun, too. That’s what this is for.
In two short weeks, it’s January 1st, 2016 (it’s still a shock to type it). 2015 will be outta here, and 2016 will come roaring in.
It’s going to be fun. And I hope you’ll come along with me for the ride.
I appreciate each and every view, comment, and look-see, and hope it’s brought tremendous value to you.
Make it an awesome weekend, with good memories, all right?
Until next time (and week),
