Because It Was Cooler Outside, I Thought of This…

How was your weekend? My book is progressing nicely–depending on how things go, I may plan for a mid-September release. I’ll keep you all posted on that.

Anyway, let’s get to it for today.

It felt like Fall outside to me, today. Maybe it was the fact that last week didn’t have all the highs in the 90s.

This morning and yesterday just felt cold. Which reminds me that summer will be coming to a close in about another month, officially. Which is also why I’ve been writing, with my children’s book and other projects, too–or at least editing them into shape. I want to look back and say that I did something lasting and worthwhile.

That applies to us all as the human race, I think. To do something that matters. For some reason, when my editing slows down in the summer, I’m keenly aware of that. I want this summer to end differently, to be different, and that’s why I’m taking small steps.

So, just maybe the change in my own editing and writing would parallel the weather–more than a little bit at a time, but not from nuclear heat to Ice Age.

Changes that will add up, not only when I look back on them, but when I use them and their momentum to move forward.

Until next time,

Ty

About Ty Mall

Thanks for stopping by. I've almost always been interested in writing, among other things. Along with discovering pop culture, I've uncovered a lot about the craft over the past 10 years. And whether you're a fiction writer or email copywriter, I'm here to pass on what I've found out. And have a ton of fun in the process.
