Something Big in Life I Sometimes Forget…

How was your weekend? It’s Labor Day weekend here in the U.S. of A., and that means grilled food everywhere, which is really great.

I’m also going to make this super-quick.

Let’s get to it.

First–happy anniversary to my Mom and Dad. Love you two. It’s been 23 years for them, as of today. And I know they’d make it 100 more if they could.

All right, next…

There’s something really important that I forget that days like today get me to remember. So, what is it?

Gratitude.

Yes, I think it’s okay to keep going further in life if you’re not where you want to be. But reflecting on what you already have can give you motivation because reflection can give you hope.

Calm you down.

And maybe help you (and me) realize that things aren’t as bad as they look right now.

Along with gratitude, I need to be better at realizing those things I am grateful for are the things I can hold on to when things take a depressing, down, or potentially ugly turn.

Have a great day off if you have one, and I’ll see you again tomorrow, all right?

Until next time,

Ty

Thanks for stopping by. I've almost always been interested in writing, among other things. Along with discovering pop culture, I've uncovered a lot about the craft over the past 10 years. And whether you're a fiction writer or email copywriter, I'm here to pass on what I've found out. And have a ton of fun in the process.
