When I Followed the Google, It Told Me This Today…

How’s it going? I learned a little something I didn’t know, but probably should have guessed.

Let’s get to it.

Today is the 30th anniversary of Pi Day. Google had a link about it on the New Tab page in Google Chrome, so I followed that little link to find that out.

I probably should have guessed because today is 3/14.

The thing said some people eat actual pie on that day, but I probably won’t.

Google has a lot to do with my writing, actually. If I need to do research on some person or other, or I just forget a little something, that’s where I go (if I need something basic–if I need to go deeper, I use what I find only as a jump-off, of course).

It also happens to be a handy way to get topics for blogs, emails, fiction, and what-have-ya.

Most of history and the past is buried out there, waiting to be accessed and paraphrased in your own writing.

Try it out. If you’re there as often as I am, it’ll be only natural anyway.

Until next time,

Ty

About Ty Mall

Thanks for stopping by. I've almost always been interested in writing, among other things. Along with discovering pop culture, I've uncovered a lot about the craft over the past 10 years. And whether you're a fiction writer or email copywriter, I'm here to pass on what I've found out. And have a ton of fun in the process.
